Thank-you Mr. Squirrel

Lately, we keep finding little walnut trees in the backyard thanks to the forgetful squirrels. Today Garrett dug one up and was determined to plant it somewhere in the yard. Since I couldn't decide where in the back yard I'd be willing to have a massive tree the kids just planted it in a 5 gallon bucket.

The kids reminded me how wonderful it would be to have our very own walnuts. I think they don't realize how long it will take for the tree to produce what could be considered a "harvest."
I guess if you're going to dream...dream big!
